SEROMAX CRP is a diagnostic test used to measure the level of C-reactive protein (CRP) in a patient’s blood sample. CRP is a protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation in the body.
The Serology C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test is performed using an immunoturbidimetric method. It involves mixing the patient’s serum with reagents containing specific antibodies that bind to CRP. The interaction between CRP and antibodies causes a change in turbidity, which is measured and quantified using a turbidimeter.
