Avecon incorporates Six Sigma concept to improve the overall efficiency of all the functional areas like Manufacturing, Administration, Customer Service, Research & Development, Quality Control, Purchase, Document Control, Sales/Marketing and Logistics. Six Sigma is a data driven management system with near perfect management objectives to improve the quality of organizational processes and was originally implemented in Motorola in 1980's for the first time. Six Sigma has become one of the most widely discussed and reported trends in business for the past two years and is now seen as a mandatory requirement in many organizations to yield tangible business results.

The Six Sigma concept has been developed into a methodology that focuses on process improvement and variation reduction through the use of a measurement - based strategy. This Six Sigma methodology is often accomplished through the use of DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) as sub-methodology.

Six Sigma project team identifies quality requirements of an end product based on business objectives as well as customer needs and feedback. The team identifies CTQs (critical to quality characteristics) that are considered to have a maximum impact on quality. The team also identifies and separates “vital few” from “trivial many”.
The team identifies the key internal processes that influence CTQs and measures the defects currently generated.
The team discovers why defects are generated by identifying the key variables which are are most likely to create process variation.
The team identifies maximum acceptable ranges for the key variables and validates a system for measuring deviations of the variables. The team modifies the process in such a way that it stays within the acceptable range.
Tools are put in place to ensure that the key variables remain within the maximum acceptable ranges over time.

A move towards Six Sigma is resulting in further improvements in our ways of thinking and ways of doing business, ultimately leading to quantum leaps in process and product quality in our main area of manufacturing. Our superior products are delivered in a timely manner and at the best possible price. This practice in turn translates into highly satisfied customers and increasing market place domination. The ultimate tangible results are Increased productivity, Reductions in recurring production costs, Reduced production cycle times and Reduced inventory levels.
